As part of the Foster + Partners team, Gilles Delage took part in the conception and in the design development of the brand new masterplan of Santa Giulia, in the outskirts of Milan. 

Santa Giulia is an urban development of 2millions m2. It is a mixed-use district offering all the functional components of urban life (housing, offices, retail, entertainment, services, public transport, car park) located in a highly green setting (public park, Ellipse private park, planted boulevards).

The key residential development of Santa Giulia is the Ellipse, a contemporary version of the Garden-City. It is constituted with 9 housing blocks surrounding a private park, some sport facilities (tennis courts, pool/fitness centre, children playground) and some public art works.
